We at @propublica.org looked into the immigration raid that happened in Chicago's South Shore in late September. We found many of the Venezuelans detained in that raid, looked into them, and spoke to several of them.

We can’t produce fearless journalism @ProPublica without knowing our jobs are secure. That’s why I walked out for lunch today — to show support for Just Cause protections that apply to every @ProPublicaGuild worker, every time.

We want a fair and equitable process with robust just cause. We deserve no less than our peers in other unionized newsrooms. I’m not in NY but still lunching out in support.

ProPublica is doing some of the best journalism out there right now, and their staff deserve protections and fair treatment. @propublica.org needs to agree to the guild’s demands so that their staff can be protected while they do their important work.

We’re holding a lunch-out today to demand that @propublica management agree to a fair discipline and performance evaluation system. Just today, a member of our Bargaining Committee and Unit Council was fired as a result of ProPublica's flawed system.
