Current experience with Discord alternatives: I do seem to be getting more friend reqs on Fluxer over Stoat, which is surprising, as Stoat seems to have a bigger user base...also, Fluxer seems to go down more often due to its massive user influx. Still haven't decided where to make a server yet.

There's too many people who think that just because Discord dropped Persona, that now everything is fine. ...No chief, they still very much intent to get your ID and/or biometics just like before. Just because its gonna be a DIFFERENT evil company doing it changes nothing.

Moneys so fuckin' tight with bills, life, and saving what I can for FWA. ...but I STILL can't get the obsession of getting a suit out of my head. Dammit.

I am officially 100% locked in for FWA! Now the struggle is saving cash to actually spend there, and getting a decent fit going... No more lookin' like I just walked out of my 9-to-5 to be there (although tbh it was kinda true for MFF). Related note, quality leather jewelry is a bit rare online!

Oh and I forgot to mention the one I've seen online most of all; Stout! Was formerly known as Revolt and seems to be the discord alternative most people online are talking about. Need to check them all out once I'm out of my work week.

Even before I got a chance to do anything, my friend groups are already scrambling for Discord alternatives. The big ones I've heard from my inner circle have been Teamspeak and Root, a discord alternative I hadn't heard of before. Already have some friends setting up there.

Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)

Went a LITTLE too crazy on Friday and went a smidge past my limit, so woke up on my lab floor this morning...after 6-7 hours of sleep, with a blanket and pillow I don't remember getting. Actually got proper sleep, but yeah, a reminder to have a proper meal, water, and limit my drinks, oooooof.

My tech lust continues, but with PC parts being outlandishly expensive now (Fuck AI), I've started to look at more retro tech. Right now, I have the itch to pick up an old Apple G4 iBook...such a pretty machine, I'd love to see what modern Linux I could run with a 1.42GHz G4 and 1.5GB of RAM.

A note about KuncavE Retr0: The world stands as an archive and cannot be updated as it's files are lost to time. Only reason we have it is Zoid had a branch of the original club unpublished so he could use it for filming...which is also why the movement speed is so high there.

It's all but locked in that I'm going to Anthrocon this year, woo! I VERY, VERY much also want to go to FWA, but there is no way I can afford both. I know it seems weird that I'm missing the well known "party con" for AC, but some people close to me are going there, and that takes priority.

My friendship with @zoidrawz.bsky.social was just described to us as "toxic yaoi" and I don't know if I'll ever recover.

The KuncavE 5 Year Anniversary! What better way to celebrate half a decade in 2026 then to jump back to 2021 and go back to where it all began. As part of the celebration, we've released "KuncavE Retr0" on VRChat, a re-release of the VERY first full version of the club!

As the weekend ends, we've reached and passed it. 5 years of The KuncavE. It's surreal to think about, but so fun to look back on not only how the club has changed, but how I've been allowed to watch people grow through that time as well. Thank you all for half a decade, and here's to the future.

A few people have mentioned how strange it is that such a big milestone is being done so lowkey, but it's for a few reasons. The primary one is honestly the entire thing is much more personal to me than "woo big party"...but we do have a few surprises for those who make it in.

Only a few days til the KuncavE 5 Year Anniversary on the 16th. I cannot express to you the nerves I feel. For such a big event, we're doing things differently. No big poster, no spamming adverts, not even multi-instance...just one, just us. It won't be a typical party, but I hope to see you.
