What people don’t seem to understand is this vote today, coupled with the “investigation” thing sanitized this whole thing for everyone. Congress got to say they support release, Trump is protected by the perpetual investigation blocking the release. Tadaaaa. That’s why he told them to vote for it.

Dems could have attempted to avoid a pocket veto by controlling the vote timing by delaying the new Rep’s final signature by a couple of days. But, yet again, they were outsmarted. This is beyond ridiculous at this point.

Here is what I expect will happen: 1. Pocket veto. 2. Maybe it gets reintroduced and we do this again. 3. “Can’t release bc investigation.” 4. “Investigation” lasts years and years.

He’s going to pocket veto. Look at the dates. He has until Nov. 29. They are recessed from the 21st through Dec. 1.

I really need Adam Kinzinger to be less hot.

This is one of those days where it is incredibly frustrating to be someone who understands how Congress, the legislative process, and political strategy work. People are way excited over something that is likely not happening, but no one will listen.
