Meet the Vocabulary List Generator (VLG), a free digital tool that can be easily used by practitioners and researchers to create vocabulary lists. The VLG takes into account frequency together with the latest dispersion measures. doi.org/10.1016/j.rm...

It incorporates the dispersion measures recommended by Egbert and Burch (2023): evenness and pervasiveness. While pervasiveness is incorporated in other publicly available digital tools in the form of range measures, evenness has yet to make its way to such tools, which is why we developed the VLG.

It was great working on this with my wonderful GSU colleagues Ashleigh Cox and @danielhdixon.bsky.social. We hope you all put the VLG to good use and let us know what features would be good to include in future versions of the tool.
