One of the affects of having multiple chronic issues, especially when any of them fall under the #autoimmune category, is that it makes acute illnesses (cold, flu, etc.) harder on us. Audiobooks count as reading. There are so many reasons one might choose audiobooks: to read while driving or running or bicycling; to read while cleaning or cooking or showering; to read without lights on; because they're unable to comfortable hold a book; poor vision; or maybe they just want to.

I was a psych inpatient for a bit many years ago, and I remember a fellow patient complaining about the safety mirror in her bathroom "because I'm already seeing shit, i don't need a funhouse mirror to make it worse".

Sooooo not sustainable.
