I believe he'd be proud. he's grown much, become more secure again. He'd be delighted to see he regained at least some of his memories, and maybe tearing up a little when he sees he's finally living his life proudly, he's got a loving partner, and he's not afraid to stand up to his mother about it.

Ruan's mother was very loving when he was younger, but sadly turned out to be quite homophobic as he grew older and was deeply in denial about her son's preference for men. The only other mother figure I could think of would be the lala granny who nursed him back to health.

Ruan's hairband was gifted to him by his sister when he left home, in exchange for thr promise to return... And return he did, tho it took him nearly ten years, and due to his memory loss he did not recall how he got it, but he always had a feeling it meant much to him...

Ruan loves to paint and draw, always has, no idea tho where he got it from. He didn't have anybody in his life who shared his love of art with him when he was younger. I loved the draw as a kid, but I lack the patience to actually learn it.

Ruan would hate it. Sitting in an office, staring at a screen all day is just not for him. Only way he'd willingly sit still for that long is when he paints.

As off right now... 1 WoL 7 (I think?) OCs that are actually fleshed out And a handful that are either not really fleshed out or I can't think of names (like all of Ruan's family aside from his sister)

When he was a child Ruan genuinly loved his parents and he had a happy childhood... it was only in his teens, when their son did not develop in the way they wanted him too, that things turned sour. He respected them, tho in his father's case there was also a fat helping of fear involved.

Mostly an AU thing but since it's come up again recently: Cooking. Ruan is a horrendous cook, like "he will burn down the kitchen making cereal" levels of bad. He's so proud the first time he makes a fried egg that doesn't turn into charcoal.

Ruan is 100% a botanist, that's not even up for discussion. The years he has spent living and working on a farm have stuck with him and he's discovered his love for plants.

How Ruan realized he's gay after his memory loss. Bc it takes years for his memories to come back and he has been dating again for a long time at that point.

I don't think Ruan paints them on his own but he definitely let's his niece do it. So whatever is currently her favorite color, ig he often ends up with pink nails, painted a little messily. BUT he also ruins it in record time while gardening.

He'd be incredibly impressed I think, and relieved. it would give him hope... that there is a better future ahead, a future where he is free to be who he wants to be... only reason for concern is probably the amount of scars Ruan carries, and the size of some of them.

Ruan is a very skilled artist but as the WoL rarely finds the time to draw or paint.

Culinarian, as for good reason he is not allowed in or even near the kitchen. (except to look pretty maybe) Also any caster as he just simply sucks at aether manipulation.

Ruan would very much like to take it home, give it tasty food and a warm bed, however if there is anybody else with him he would much rather have them grab it as he is afraid he might harm the kitten.
