This week in the under 3’s suite it’s Woodwork Wednesday, we explored what was in the tool box and learned what a ruler does “ it has numbers 4 I can see” Z and revisited using the hammer building our strength to hammer the nails.

Today in the 3-5’s, we have really enjoyed mixing colours in the water tray and exploring knitting with Mary 🧶🧪

In the under 3’s suite, we’ve been continuing to develop our confidence and independence while using the bikes. This week, we introduced cones into our play to encourage the children to practise balance, coordination, and control as they navigated around them.

Some of our POD children had a great visit to the park this morning. We brought SIMOA along to help remind us how to stay safe while out in the community! We challenged ourselves on the big climbing equipment! #Safety #PhysicalPlay #ExploringOurCommunity

Thank you to all our families in Jackie’s & Connie’s group who came along to our afternoon tea. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate all our children‘s learning and interests. Loved hearing all the positive comments when looking through their books.

Today in the under 3’s we spent lots of time on the bikes in the garden. We are becoming more confident when moving around the garden. Some of us were confident enough to use the planks to ride down keeping our balance, holding on tight. We developed our fine motor and gross motor skills. 🚲☺️☀️

Tonight we showcased our Family Learning Approaches as part of the Learning to Achieve Festival. It was such a busy event and Team Rannoch were proud to share all they have done with their other early years colleagues. If you missed out please get in contact and we would be happy to chat ✨

This afternoon at Cook to Connect we made stir-fry. We picked the vegetables we wanted to put in, chopping them up then putting them in the pan to cook with different spices and sauces. We were being safe when cutting and using the hob and had lots of discussions about the flavours we like/dislike

In the under 3’s we are continuing to explore our interest of the moment. We were curious and had lots of questions when exploring the polar animals. 🐟🦈🦭🐋

We had such a fantastic response to our World Book day with most of our boys and girls coming in dressed in their pj’s, books in hand. We spent most of the morning reading and sharing our stories.Thanks to all the children and parents for getting involved and promoting early reading at Rannoch.

🎶🎵🎸Today in the 3-5’s, Mary brought in her guitar and ukulele we were singing loads of songs and even got a chance to play it ourselves! 🎸🎵🎶

Our interest of the moment in the under 3’s has been animals. We have been exploring different animals, using descriptive language talking about how they have different patterns and are different sizes. We have been confident in knowing what sounds they make too. 🐯🦓🦒🐘🐮🐴

Unfortunately we have to cancel our Bookbug session tomorrow. He will be back next week!

Today in the under 3’s we celebrated world book day. We had fun reading stories and sharing each others books that we had brought in from home whilst being cosy in our pyjamas. 📚🤗🐛

We had a fantastic 1st session of our Cook to Connect. We made scrambled eggs with toast & vegetables. We were really independent and enjoyed sampling what we had made. 🍳

In the POD our wee people have been interested in challenging their own abilities. H was a little bit apprehensive but with support from the adults and perseverance he was so happy when he climbed on the tyre. Well done H
