Tackling the dental desert in Norfolk has been a top priority for me since being elected. I'm pleased that there's cross-party support from Norfolk MPs, pushing for dental training in the East of England and working to ensure better dental care in Norwich and across Norfolk.

This government is investing in important rail infrastructure, like the East-West Rail. There are also other vital projects in the East, including upgrading the Trowse swing bridge, and Ely and Haughley junctions, which I raised in parliament today 👇

First week back after Christmas, here's my weekly round-up...

If you care about the rights of women and girls, then you must care about Afghanistan where the Taliban are presiding over gender apartheid. I led last night’s debate on how the UK can support women and girls there.

As we welcome a new year, I want to thank everyone who’s worked so hard for our community. I'll keep pushing for practical progress in the year ahead and look forward to what we can achieve in 2026!

Today, I welcomed the Prime Minister and Transport Secretary to Norwich. Fantastic news that the Labour govt is investing £46 million in Norfolk to improve local bus services and extending the £3 bus fare cap. Making a real difference for bus users.

It was great to visit Red Balloon last week, and answer some of the year 11's questions on how Parliament works and what I've been doing in the constituency. Red Balloon are a great asset to the local area, supporting many young people. Thank you for having me, and all your great questions!

I recently met with local leaders, where we discussed sustainability and how to protect our environment. I'm pleased the Leader of the House joined me in thanking groups like Nelsonspirit for their important work in this area.

Last week I visited the Hellesdon Adult Learning Training Centre, to speak with staff and students. It was great to hear about their work, building students' skills and confidence, as well as their future plans. Thank you Adult Learning for showing me around your construction training centre.

This is a historic step to protect the two-state solution and affirm the rights of Palestinians. We must also continue to push for an immediate ceasefire, an end to the horrendous suffering in Gaza, a surge in aid and all the hostages to be released.
