Sometimes it takes a fleet of spacecraft to do great science. Or at least two. Here both SPHEREx and JWST are observing 3I/Atlas, the interstellar comet. Both telescopes find a carbon dioxide dominated cometary coma, which is cool.

At first, this news from Congress looks great (Planetary Society article) . Then I read about the OMB's plan to just ignore Congress. So Congress' proposed budget doesn't remove any of the stress or risk to science. This looks unconstitutional to me, but IANAL.

Sometimes we take the lake away (Owens Lake) and sometimes we create the lake, like Lake Manicouagan, which is an impact crater that was filled up thanks to a hydroelectric dam. The crater was created by a 5 km asteroid ~200 million years ago.
