After reading hundreds of American Political Thought exams over past three semesters and mediating many grade complaints, I have determined LLMs are uniquely awful at political theory compared to other political science subfields. I am still grading and I am just not sure I can handle finishing.

Anyone else drowning in grading and administrative work with multiple works in progress and thinking, “Ooohh, what I really need to do today is start three more things!”?

Why does ed K-16 focus so much on leadership? What about followership? Most people don’t start out as leaders. Everyone needs to know how to follow directions, meet deadlines, defer to people who know more, constructively process feedback, and appropriately communicate problems and criticism up.

Taught my last class of the semester today. They were such a great class and I was short with them on a couple of things today, so was not the best note to end on. I have never felt so ground down. Enjoying a late lunch and a margarita to decompress.

I don’t watch much TV, but I finished the series Animal Kingdom last night and I kinda loved it. It is based on an Australian movie I need to see now. It had an Australian aesthetic (I lived part time in Oz for a long time), but a big budget production value. Maybe I should watch more TV.

I wrote 3700 words today. Would be great if those words were not grade appeal recommendations, but here we are. I have developed a ridiculously passive aggressive approach to writing things I wish I didn’t have to do— using fonts I hate. Today it was aptos.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work." The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting. And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.
