Oh this is very interesting. I’ve been playing with MCP but the fact ChatGPT didn’t support (until now) was kind of the deal breaker. For the kinds of stuff I do I find ChatGPT to give me the best results. This will be awesome if I can get it hooked up to Todoist or maybe even Obsidian.

Slide Over is back baby!

In iPadOS 26.1 beta 2 is huge for the iPad. Slide Over returns and it works with the new windowing mode. There is also some changes to Local Recording, including the ability to have gain control for USB mics. I'm installing the beta now and will have a video soon.

My review unit iPhone Air just showed up a bit ago, and this thing feels impossible. I know the iPad Pro is technically thinner, but the size and shape of the iPhone Air feel like some future concept device.

The update for Final Cut Pro for iPad is out. Includes ProRes RAW, Apple LOG 2, and menubar support. No mention of background tasks. Weird.

Another great app from Matt I have been using over the summer. We are using this for Comfort Zone, and I’m using this for my videos as well.

Kind of weird the Final Cut Pro for iPad update that was announced at WWDC with background tasks support still isn’t out. I figured there would be a big update this week for that, Apple LOG 2, and ProRes RAW support.

Now that the window limit has gone up from the four in Stage Manager in iPadOS 18, I can upload videos to YouTube from my iPad and not worry about Safari being kicked out. I just started an uploaded. Then opened Obsidian, Preview, Music, and Todoist. My upload just kept going in the background. 🥳
