With one more new face this campaign, a new record will be set for most players used in a league season. The current record is 35, set in 2008/2009 and 2011/2012, and equalled on Saturday at Hillsborough with the appearances of Alli, Aasgaard, Bowler and Naismith.

The good news is he will be fresh because the Norwegian season ended early December. He also scored 2 goals in Europa Conference League. He’s a Norwegian U21 international. The bad news is they were knocked out by Kilmarnock.

Brilliant to see that Bloomfield is targeting the key area lacking in the current squad. Pace, agility, ability to shoot from outside the box and be unpredictable. Alli and Aasgaard will be real threats. Where do our priorities remain? I still think RB and CM trump the need for a STR. Maybe?

In the 30 years I’ve been watching Luton, I’m sure we’ve either been in a relegation scrap or chasing promotion in 80% of those seasons. It’s never dull.

We’ve all got to take the positives where we can and the team needs our support, for sure. However, can anyone tell explain why we put 2 keepers on the bench rather than giving a youth team player invaluable experience? Even if they don’t come on.

At what point can we as the fans suggest the club is now an autocracy? The structure and decision making process of a football club has always varied from club to club. However, when the opinion and feeling of the fans on a matter is almost unanimous, surely they can’t just be ignored.

It’s almost been an entire calendar year of decline now. The manager has to change but the radio silence from 2020 is deafening. They’ve done some incredible work but this current situation is a monumental fuck up on their behalf. Take ownership of the situation and communicate with the fans.

I feel like a lot of the incredible work the Hatters Heritage volunteers do often got lost in the anger and vindictiveness of Twitter. We are very lucky to have them preserving the history of our club. Show them some Blue Sky Hatters love and visit the website or become a member or a patron.
