In the past week I have twice been woken up with a call that a former coworker had passed away unexpectedly. Both good people that I haven't interacted with much in recent years but was always happy to see them and catch up.

A bit late but finally finished Attack on Titan. Last season while enjoyable felt like a different show than the rest of the series. The show worked better when it was more about the mystery of the Titans than when it focused on the opposing sides of war.

Nobuo Uematsu said he composed the iconic OG Final Fantasy Prelude song in just 15 minutes! He said they just finished FF1 and were like “Yay! We finished”, then Hironobu Sakaguchi rushed in and said “Quick, make a song now! Because we have to submit various things to Nintendo. Make a song now!”

Expedition 33 for me was a 10/10 game. No game is without flaws. Just some thoughts on it. None of these are things that would make you stop playing the game. The pictos menu isn't great. The favorites option isn't enough. We need loadouts. Too many build possibilities to not have loadouts.

I'm definitely late on this but I finally beat Expedition 33. A truly beautiful piece of art. I want to sit on my thoughts for both the story and gameplay just a bit longer until I finish the end game content but I'll say this. There's no such thing as a perfect game, but this is close enough. 10/10

My first day off work in 137 days. The streak is dead. Got some sushi and playing games with the guys. Life is....still shit but I got sushi so today is good.

24th Anniversary of Final Fantasy 10. A story with a heavy emphasis on religion, I often cite as the initial reason I started questioning my beliefs. Saw many similarities between the in game events and what I was seeing in real life.
