Tonight's Valentine's Day watch.... PHANTOM THREAD (2017)

As always, sad and valentine-less on Valentine's Day.... :(

WUTHERING HEIGHTS: There's a great movie in here...somewhere. Lush in its craftsmanship and with some capable performances (Alison Oliver, MVP), but crushes under its emphasis of style over substance and a painful lack of chemistry between its two leads.

Who knows if the new planned Charlie's Angels film will fare as well. But either way, who should be there in some capacity is these three.....

There are some reasons to look forward to the release of FUZE. Two, in particular.

Nothing screams "Happy Birthday, Matt!" more than an eerie folk thriller starring George Mackay and Mr. Dua Lipa releasing on that special day. Count me in!

Since the Oscars seem to be continuing the "Fab 5" presenting format, I've thought to myself, "What if they do it for the acting categories but like in the '09 year where for the Lead Acting categories, they had the nominees honored by previous co-stars?"

Rewatching Schitt's Creek as a form of therapy watching while nursing my cold. Besides laughing hysterically, there's also getting to gaze at Dustin Milligan.

One scene I've had on repeat in my head. The one from Beetlejuicewhere Catherine O'Hara bangs on the cellar door, demanding the Maitlands reveal themselves. Proof that Catherine O'Hara could spin the most mundane moment into gut-busting hilarity. "OOPPPEEEN UP!!"

This is such a great documentary, well worth watching even if you don't consider yourself 'into' horror.

We as gay people need to make sure she is never forgotten! 😞

Since it's safer to say here than the other place, re: WUTHERING HEIGHTS which is coming soon, I don't have an issue with people criticizing the casting or even being skeptical because of the director. Instead, the whole "Worst movie of 2026 incoming" takes w/o having actually seen it.
