Rounding up the RadNet/BRC showcase, we saw some of the radiobiology research coming out of the proton research room. Amy gave a fantastic talk on her work looking at radiation/drug combinations to improve the effectiveness of proton therapy 🧬

It's all about PRECISE this month as we highlight some of our big moments over the last 10 years. 4 years ago today, January 28th, PRECISE team members Elham Santina and John-William Warmenhoven conducted the 1st experiment in our Research Room. A lot of team work went into this monumental point.

We're celebrating PRECISE's 10th birthday all month long. Here are some more cool facts about our group! A lot of the early years involved grant applications and all together the group brought in around £200 million to build the room.

There have been many challenges. In the past 10 years, PRECISE has had to deal with 2 floods, a substantial fire and the Covid pandemic. #CancerResearch #10thBirthday

In the first year the PRECISE group recruited a senior lecturer, post-doctoral research associates, PhDs and a project manager. 10 years later and Mike, Nick, Helena, John and Amy are still part of the PRECISE group! #CancerResearch #10thBirthday

It's PRECISE's 10th Birthday! PRECISE started 10 years ago today, January 12 2015. The OG group consisted of 3 @officialuom.bsky.social staff, who have since moved on from the University, along with support from 2 staff members from The Christie NHS FT who are still working with the group today.
