I moved to NYC 10 years ago and was blown away by the complete absence of permit parking. It might be considered a regressive tax in some ways, but it’s also just the easiest revenue generator ever.

Spent the morning and early afternoon rebooking, shifting travel plans, rebooking rail and air again, and each time I refresh the forecast the snow total reduction gets higher. I’m doing all of this before Amtrak or the airlines have really proactively canceled much. Nobody is prepared for this.
