#SFGiants need 1 roster spot for Houser, and will need 2 more for [Imai and Kopech] before calling it an offseason. They’ll start out by trading Matos for any upper minors MIF whose options clock hasn’t yet started. Imai and Kopech sign for < $40M. Beck and Sanmartin are the final casualties.

They’re still about $40 million under the LT, and aside from continuing to make minor deals for relievers, all they really need to do is add a SP to the middle/top of the rotation. They do NOT need to add at 2B, or RF. And I’ll honestly be annoyed to see them trade away prospects I like to do so.

Between Encarnacion, Meckler, Matos, and McCray, I’m hoping the #SFGiants are able to acquire an infielder with an option(s). Hoping to see Schmitt (everyday 2B), Koss (back up INF), and Fitzgerald (CF/RF vs LHP) stick at the big league level.

My theory: Buster, fully aware/tired of the Giants being used to drive up prices for free agents just to see them sign elsewhere, says the Giants are out on Imai. But he’s secretly staying involved, and plans on beating the top offer right at the buzzer.

If Josuar Gonzalez became a top 10 prospect in MLB, what will his value be on baseball trade values? In my head, he’s either a future face of the franchise, or he’s the trade chip that lands Paul Skenes. The closer Josuar gets to the majors, the closer Skenes will be to free agency. Just sayin!

This feels like the best offer I could make the Brewers for 1 year of Peralta. Still don’t think these 2 clubs match up well in a trade, but this is a win win move (speaking for the #SFGiants). They please the roster and fanbase by adding an elite SP, and they get that elite SP on a modest salary.

I still really, REALLY want Cody Ponce. If they add him, and a flyer or two, maybe Max Scherzer, maybe Dustin May, I think I’d still be “fine” with where the rotation is at. But Imai to SF would unbiasedly be great for baseball. For the rivalry. Not to mention the #SFGiants chances at winning.
