In 2014 my grandparents called me to wish me a happy birthday. I was in class so they left a voicemail. 3 weeks later my grandmother passed unexpectedly. 7 years later my grandpa passed away. I saved that voicemail in 2014. Every year on my birthday I listen to it.

10 minutes till midnight. 10 minutes till April 9th. 10 minutes “technically” till my birthday. (I wasn’t born until 7:45pm) My work friend says I’m turning 28. The student worker says I’m turning 68. Both are incorrect. Can I just forgo the whole turning # thing? And just celebrate the day?🫠
