It is June 26. The budget has to be passed in 4 days. We've been told the budget deal is done but the bill "won't be ready until very late tonight" and the vote likely won't happen until tomorrow. The public likely won't have a chance to see the budget bill before it's voted out of committee.

Unfortunately, the Big Bad Bill isn't just big and bad where essential programs are concerned -- it's also got a lot of gnarly provisions as to rights and legal processes buried in there.

For NJ Rep. Van Drew, it's about the extent of the Senate bill's Medicaid cuts; for Rep. Kean, it's the SALT cap. Their votes are still must-gets for the Republicans after the final version of the tax bill goes before the whole Congress for passage.
