Bringing out stuff to someone who can't access your store doesn't make you accessible. Also, if all businesses could have access statements on your website, I'd know if I can/I'd want to spend money when I get there.

Out today and the kid saw a wheelchair sign. ♿️ ‘Why’s the wheelchair-user sitting on the moon?’ She asked. ‘It’s stylistic,’ I said. ‘If they put a real one like mine up there, it would be too much paint or tape or money.’

If you're looking for companies to boycott and/or yell at, these are good ones. Just straight up evil.

If you're trying to figure out what to do right now, my advice is to just pick a thing that you think might be useful in some way, however small, and do it. Doing a thing leads you to doing another, bigger thing, and prepares you for that next thing.

I just discovered my voicemails get transcribed as text messages, but the text is the opposite of the voicemail. Context is everything.

I’m seeing a lot of people frame the threat to the 504 only in terms of affecting education and kids with IEPs. It affects EVERYONE. From curb cuts to access to government buildings to sign language interpreters in disasters to accessible medical facilities, it is a civil rights threat to ALL.
