I have seen folks in this fandom that have compiled incredible lore references for things such as fish, plants, languages, and so on. Has anyone done such a thing for healing related lore? I have some ideas for a project, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

A little in between. Rain'li's story does follow the general shape of the canon, though over a longer period of time. There are a few key variations, however. For example, Rain'li is not a shard of Azem, but rather another seat. I also pick and choose which job quest stories apply to him and how.

I'm not sure how I feel about having finished writing my first ever piece of fanfiction just in time for AO3 to go down. I can't decide if I'm frustrated or relieved.

I am afraid FFXIV is never going to do anything like the Bozja unlock solo duty again. “Barnstorm your friend’s psyche and bare-knuckle fistfight their trauma on their behalf” is *exactly* my power fantasy, actually.

I don't know if this idea will go anywhere yet, but I have been contemplating giving Rain'li an apprentice sometime in the future, later in his story. Both because I think it would be cute and because I think it would be an interesting dynamic to watch him navigate.

In denial of his emotions up until the very moment they said farewell. After Ultima Thule, Rain'li took their second (Third? Fourth?) chance seriously and finally set aside his (very complicated) feelings about the Exarch to focus on the man in front of him. No regrets this time.

Someone's love for their own OC always draws me in, but what makes me stick around is how much I love to hear different interpretations of the same characters and events or how people fill in the gaps. The ways in which we interact with stories and play with canon fascinates me.

LRP, my answer to this question and questions like it will never not be Promare. Incredible animation the whole way through and a soundtrack that makes my heart swell, but, more importantly, a story that gives me comfort in my grief and a drive to change our world for the better in equal measure.

Rain'li has been my primary OC since Shadowbringers, but for the past couple weeks, for no particular reason that I can pinpoint. I feel like my mind is exploding with character ideas. I'm going insane over him. I even wrote fic for the first time! It's at 1k words so far and I'm scared to share it.
