Okay, be honest. Who knew that in Unity you can stack load scenes? "Additive scene loading" Who knew this? Not this guy, and it's literally blowing my mind.

Asking for a friend. When you give yourself a break from working on your game project, how long of a break do you take? And im talking about after completing a big milestone or finally figuring out that one bug that's been bothering you for weeks??

Here's a good question I just ran into! Sorry only if you're using Unity and C#. Working on a script, how do you divide sections of your script/ code? Do you use Regen & Endregen, or do you use the //------?

When was the last time you sat down and made sure you were actually following your passion/goals? My good friend did that and is ready to take that step. Go check him out!!

Do you ever have one of those nights where you plan on making progress on your game, and all you end up doing is moving some 3D models around. Like back and forth, not entirely sure where you want it?

Happy New Year to everyone, I know I've been silent. Just got back from a 2 week vacation with the wife and am now currently in a GameJam,

Love it when you're trying to work on your enemy throwing candy canes at the main player and end up creating a machine gun of candy canes!

Here is a good question for the early morning! When playing any game and looking for an item. How obvious would you want the item to stand out? Should it be highlighted as soon as you step into the room or as you get closer?

Keep seeing people say that you shouldn't wait till your game is finished to advertise your game. So, it looks like I'm going to try and start posting more about the current game I'm working on!

You are not alone if you spent weeks trying to get a game mechanic to work. And once you finally get it working, you see how you could do it better and have to fight the urge to not refactor.

Such a bad ass feeling when you finally get a game mechanic working after you have been trying to get it to work after a week. ...And then immediately want to add polish and ignore building the actual game!

What game mechanic are you currently working on? I'm currently working on a door/ key system and having it work with my interaction script.

There's been a lot of discourse related to indie gamedev the past few days and it's aggravating seeing what I do distilled down into tropes which don't apply to me because I took the solo, do-it-for-fun, long-term path. :| So here's some words of wisdom to fight through the mass of hot takes: -

How do you handle implementing a new mechanic to your game? 1) Google and copy-paste? 2) Ask for help from friends? 3) Dive into the rabbit hole and spend days trying to understand the logic? If you can't tell, I always fall into the rabbit hole.

What kind of laptop would you recommend an indie dev to get so they could keep working/studying. When say their work has them travel to different countries?

A constant issue I keep running into when joining gameJams is I have a job.. I'd rather be home working on the game 24/7 instead of my actual job...

Here's a good question for all Game Devs. When designing a level, where do you get your inspiration?
