#Inktober 2025 Day 02: Fiona Sixtus I created Fiona in high school when I was deeply into debate. I would use her to express my views and vent my frustrations about issues. I eventually fleshed her out into an actual character. And, yes, she has six rings on her tail. #furryart #raccoon

So, for this #Inktober, I'm doing something slightly different! I'm doing the challenge with an online friend and we're following a fun four day format. Day 1: Draw a character that inspired your art. 2: One of your OCs. 3: A character that inspired the other. 4: One of their OCs. Then repeat!

Ah, I meant to post these last two pages earlier, but I got caught up in stuff! I still need to fix page 19 to make it more readable, but I'm rather happy with these overall. It's just been really fun to show my characters interacting like this. #art #furryart #comic

2019- I'm still happy with this piece, but I knew so little about backgrounds and texturing. 2025- I didn't start doing comics properly until after COVID hit, and it's made such a difference. I also took some art classes and worked on my backgrounds. #furryart

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

Although Kheil is the main protag of #Supercell, I also sketched up Tazho, another character from the comic. He's too friggin' cute, so I absolutely had to. He's also surprisingly hard to draw emoting due to the shape of his beak. Kudos to @bmbrice.bsky.social for doing so much with his eyes!

I'm always slow to these trend things, but I wanted to give this a shot! I just finished reading both new books of the comic #Supercell! They were fantastic and I highly recommend them. If you like military school alien coming-of-age drama and action, then this is definitely a comic for you.

So, I've been reading through @bmbrice.bsky.social 's newly released Supercell books. I was planning to make a post when I was done but... I just finished the last scene of part V. I can't help it. I need to gush. The panels, the composition, the entire atmosphere of that scene was incredible.

Just finished reading the final #Housepets! Omnibus by @rickgriffin.bsky.social (I know, I know. I'm a slow reader), and that was an awesome journey! There were so many wonderful, emotional moments, but also just a ton of fun storylines and genuinely funny jokes. It's honestly inspiring stuff!

One of the best pieces of advice that I ever got for warming up before drawing was to treat it like tuning a musical instrument. As somebody who knew the value of tuning and doing my scales before practice with my saxophone, that made the concept immediately click. Thanks @bageldenizen.bsky.social !
