2026: Trying to stay accountable with my reading, a 🧵— It’s nearly March of 2026, and I’ve read only three things (two short stories on Kindle and a physical manga volume). I want to be more transparent about what I read beyond just my Goodreads page. This is my effort to stay accountable. ✌️

For thirteen years of reading my average amount of things read each year was 160 (probably because between 2019-2020 I read 1300 different things, mostly volumes of manga). I was feeling down on myself, thinking I’ve done so little, but maybe I’ve done more than I thought. 🤔

What do you do all day? Have you ever thought about it?

Obviously just a stupid writer who can’t accomplish anything. Thirteen years without anything to show for it. Thirteen years of blank space.

Yeah, I’m just a lousy writer.

The people in charge would think it was a good day for the economy because I put almost $200 on a credit card and have no idea how I’m going to pay it back. 😭

Therapy hit hard today. My therapist basically said, with the brain I have, I made the choices that I had available to me at the time—and I couldn’t help but think, “Damn, I wish I had had a different brain then.”

I doubt Jimmy Fallon’s going to grill Sam Altman about the ethics and environmentally detrimental effects of AI. What an epic fail in normalizing something that’s helping to further destroy the world.

I don’t know what I’m going to do between December and April since my next upcoming concert in 2026 isn’t until Florence + the Machine. I’m hoping BTS, Harry Styles, and The 1975 will tour next year where I can see them. 😮‍💨
