When I couldn't sleep last night I suddenly felt the urge to write several poems. Well 9 actually. They're all rather short, and likely need some editing now that's it day time, but interesting.

I am struggling to sleep...thus instead I think of all the amazing moments recently in which I've been brought to tears with the love from my community and found family. I am so blessed with so many weird and wonderful people.

Just watched The Perfect Neighbor and let me warn you, it's devastating. Get some lotion tissues and some water cause oh boy you'll need it.

Every errand I've tried to run has been FRUITLESS! WHY?!

The bad part about Edmonton is it's sooooooo wide. It feels silly travelling all the way back up north (45 min with traffic) to come back down in 5.5 hours to get my wife from work, but then I have to find something to do for 5.5 hours in South Edmonton Commons for 5.5 hours...

Look idk why I suddenly start making this but here we are. Very much not done, but pleased with the progress. Now it's time for bed.

Spouse is off to first day at work and I'm hanging with the boys. Someone needs to get out of this hotel room. Going for a walk for my stupid mental health.

So we got to Edmonton to find that the motel we had prebooked, having called to confirm they accept cats, didn't have a room for us because we have cats. They didn't even immediately give us a refund.

Left Montreal behind us! On our way to Ottawa and beyond! Making good progress today. We did hit a piece of metal on the highway, but luckily it only hit the muffler. All else is okay. #HeliGoesWest

Y'all being in a small enclosed space with my cats has made me realize I'm HELLA allergic.

Ugh I'm gonna cry! We have so much freaking stuff. Like in the grand scheme of things we have much less stuff than the average person, but golly... When we moved down here we had our kia Rio and our trailer. That had to fit everything including both of us and our two cats.

One more day delay in leaving. We could have been on the road, but we are so tired. We figure a good rest and leave tomorrow morning and make it to Quebec city for tomorrow evening. The good news is that it meant we could take a last walk in the Public Garden with supper and ice cream.

We've really been hustling. Unfortunately we're behind, and the u haul pickup got delayed so we actually won't be leaving until Sunday.
