I don't care what anyone says about ambient music. I love listening to it and when I make it, it's an expression of what's going on in my head. The sounds of my ambient evoke sci-fi, dark caves, space, nature, etc...at least, that's what I'm thinking when I hear it. It's cinematic.

I just created something scary. At least I think people would consider it scary/horror-soundtracky. Sounds more like pensive/droney, but maybe with this imagery, who knows. Plus, I'm sitting here, just making music in near-darkness, so maybe that's it.

BoC was so important to me (as they were to many of you) that they totally derailed my musical trajectory. This isn't a bad thing of course, but I adopted so many BoC-isms from 2005-2010 (before I started releasing stuff on bandcamp.) Who did you try to emulate in your musical development?

A shame that these may never get a proper release, but the quality here is much better than those crusty mp3s you've had on your hard drive for 20 years. AFOT and OT2 contain some of my favorite BoC material.

We must not forget that Ministry started out as a synthpop/new-wave band. I mean, those early tracks are so perfect for what they are. I love the industrial-metal Ministry, of course, but I wonder what transformed them?

Did I use some Tonverk presets on this album? Yes. Why? Because they're darn good and I feel very close to this machine, after being involved with it for so long.
