Just downloaded my own videos of Bluesky in both formats. I used the optimal and recommended MP4 H.264 when encoding All audio is converted into AAC on Bluesky (Advanced Audio Coding). Lossy shite, but better than low bit rate mp3. At least it kept the audio at 44.1KHz and 32 bits per sample.
