In other news, this wonderful @Hyundai goes back today. I’d say it has changed my whole perception of what a hot hatch should be. IONIQ 5N has thrown the book away and brought us in to the 21st century.

It’s now run-in and I’ve just taken it out on deserted country roads. Makes you question all you’ve learnt about driving a big car. Really should be called the Defender GT3.

Doesn’t matter what engine you choose, they’re all bloody good.

Not sure what fairy dust LR have added to the steering feel but we’ve just been to the Cotswolds for dinner and this car made nothing of negotiating country roads bends at speed. Handling is a World apart from the regular Defender. Felt as nimble as a car half its weight.

OMG what a car. Feels refined but at the press of a button as raw as the GT3. My word it’s stunning #octa

If you want a new EV for town driving, it’s tough to compete with a pre-reg Dacia.

The paint correction and ceramic coating on this 7 year old car makes it really easy to clean. Can’t recommend it enough.

Totally overlooked the Discovery Sport when looking for a new car to transport our new granddaughter. Drove it yesterday, it’s 2.0 diesel so refined and technology up there with the Defender. Reliable? Let’s see, we aim to have it for about 4 years. So far really impressed.

So pleased she’s sorted.

A solid 3 hours driving around London. She did well. No coughing, spluttering or sneezing.

Went ahead with the new 992.2 GT3 with a wing. Life’s too short eh?

According to Porsche this 4.0 litre engine that revs to 9,000 rpm and sounds like God when (s)he’s angry, will be discontinued due to legislation in two years. Feels like a Concorde moment. Anyway, time to enjoy mine.
