I’ve seen a lot of comments on that post, so a quick clarification: I love productivity, and AI is great. I shipped a lot this year because I embraced it. This 100% vibe-coded game wouldn’t exist after 1 week without AI:

Finalized the summary pill design in
@telebugs.com
. Very happy with how it turned out! Lots of space reclaimed, clarity intact. Live in the demo 👇

I care about tiny details. Experimenting with data condensation in
@telebugs.com
I replaced the bulky "Report details" table with compact pills that take up way less space. The magic is that their order is intentional: Handled • JavaScript • Error • Production • [Server IP] • [Timestamp]

Gave my homepage a refresh: ✅ Split content into separate pages ✅ Started deploying with Kamal ✅ Moved off GitHub Pages to my own VPS ✅ Finally fixed the "Last modified" timestamp (GitHub Pages never supported the Jekyll extension I needed)

The problem with teaching your AI pair programmer your craft is that it doesn’t accumulate. New models are released constantly, and they behave differently. You don’t control that A human pair programmer builds cumulative expertise over years (shared context, inside jokes, evolving best practices)

AI is sucking the joy out of software engineering. My feed is mostly “Opus wrote this entire app” or “Sonnet couldn’t handle that.” Stories about actual craftsmanship are rare these days.

I compiled all my travel blog posts into an mdBook. Turns out it’s a great format for long-form writing, not just docs.

I’m postponing the
@telebugs.com
release until next year. Shipping right before New Year’s Eve isn’t fair to users if something goes wrong. I’d rather start the year calm and solid than rush it 🎆

@telebugs.com
docs are now open-source (and actually good)! I rewrote them from scratch with mdBook. Why you’ll like them: ✅ No fluff ✅ Minimal images (they rot fast) ✅ Keyboard-first navigation ✅ Calm, readable, focused Docs should help you think, not slow you down:

A month or two ago, I noticed some bot traffic from China (it looked like LLM scraping) but it didn’t really bother me at the time. However, yesterday Google stopped showing ads across all of my websites because it “identified invalid traffic concerns”.

🇨🇳 China spreading COVID and the public release of AI shortly after is no coincidence: 1️⃣ They lock you in 2️⃣ You post slop daily because there’s nothing else to do 3️⃣ AI eagerly trains on it 4️⃣ You get released 5️⃣ AI gets released 6️⃣ Your sorry ass realizes what you’ve done Too late now.
