I'd like to thank everyone who made a submission to this inquiry - who shared their lived experience and expert evidence. From First Peoples on this land, to Palestine, West Papua, Xinjiang, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and all victims of genocide around the world, I stand with you.

It comes as no surprise that this bill was voted down by the major parties. The rejection of the bill speaks to the colonial and genocidal interests of this government, with Labor and the Coalition protecting their political interests over international justice.

What is Labor’s position on jailing children and denying them bail? The Prime Minister says one thing, his Minister for Indigenous Australians says another. I’m calling for the federal government to take concrete action on bail by funding therapeutic bail support and supervision.

Just got an email from a teacher who not only referred to me as ‘Ms’ while asking me to provide extensive professional work for free, but also failed to capitalise Indigenous. And they’re teaching an Indigenous program at school while continuously referring to studying us as ‘aspirational’.
