Had a student, pretty reluctant reader and hates English, come to sit in my class during our advisory time because he wanted to keep reading the graphic novel I recently bought for him. And this is why I do what I do.

Local community college just had a composition job open up. Never really thought about it, but what does it hurt to apply?

You know what? I’m really frustrated and mad right now, but that doesn’t help me. Fuck it. I don’t fucking care anymore. I’ll make something better.

I use this lesson over tone w my 10th graders. New teach this year teaches 9th & 10th, so she’s been using my lessons. Decided she’s going to use the exact same presentation, I didn’t make it by the way, for tone with 9th. Super fun activity. She tells me they won’t even remember anyway.

Still thinking about this. Like conceptually if it had not been connected to this fandom, I wonder if perception of the movie would’ve been different? Because at the end of the day, it is a giant separation from the originals. But sometimes that’s what you have to do to keep something alive.

Damn, I am so good at picking up small clues authors leave behind in their books. Call me Sherlock Holmes or some shit.

“How do you read so many books?” Honestly, if you just make time for reading, it’s really easy. Replace watching TV for a night with a book. Read 30 minutes to an hour before bed. On your lunch break, put your phone down and take out a book. It’s a habit you have to create.

Reading a book right now that makes me want to absolutely slap the shit out of some of the characters. I’m getting so frustrated with how much of an asshole they are.

I feel like so many of the popular romance books right now are enemies to lovers or it’s like super aggressive or fast. Sometimes I just wanna feel like I’m eating a warm cinnamon roll & drinking hot chocolate as I stare outside a café window, the radio crooning in the background.

My goal this week: — get back into my face cleaning routine!

Didn’t realize how much I needed to read a slow friends to even slower lovers romance until now. Goddamn, this shit is so good.
