YES YES YES. This is also why we should talk about players rather than consumers in game dev. We need to change the discourse so that we can start thinking about new sustainable ways of being a game creator.

Week 2, term 2 at UAL. Working hard, fighting the reality I’m for-real in my mid-30s now.

Playing Portal on a console is weird (I’m playing the Switch port). Something about it just screams computer game and I can’t tell if it’s a cultural/contextual thing or something about the design itself.

Had too many “better get down there one last time before they close” moments this last 12 months. Won’t be the last.

Question: has anyone on here ever printed and subsequently played a Print & Play board game? What game? What was the prep experience like? Was it easy to get the table? How did it play?

First game I finished this year is Arranger by @furnimatgames.bsky.social! Really smart puzzle design that hides the constraints and maintains believability of the world as a space. I love how the art is integrated like a storybook to bring life to a grid while keeping game logic consistent.
