Day Centres provide social interaction, friendship & stimulation to elderly & disabled people, and respite to families and carers. They allow family members to work & go to school. My Dad’s day centre was highly valued by him & our family. His carers, helpers & transport driver came to his funeral.

My Mum was in a care home for 3 years before her death. I saw her develop a social circle of those she wanted to be with depsite her reduced cognitive ability. I saw her develop relationships with her carers. I would have fought the forced closure of her home tooth and nail. We trusted them 1/2
