Remember that time in 2019 Donald Trump asked Ukrainian president Zelenski to dig up dirt on Joe Biden? And Zelenski said no? And that lead to Trump being impeached?

The holocaust was “legal”. The slave trade was “legal”. The genocide of the Native Americans was “legal”. When evil holds power, laws are often immoral, and morals are often unlawful. Sometimes doing what’s right requires us to break the law.

They’re addicted to self deception. Because the lies they tell themselves provide the scapegoat they need to avoid accountability. This gives them someone to hate besides themselves.

I am experiencing a sense of patriotism I have never known. But not for the country I was raised in. For the America we might become, leading the world in fighting fascism. (1/2)

The president of El Salvador posted to social media today that he offered the Trump administration a mutually beneficial business deal where he would house incarcerated Americans in their prisons. That sounds dangerously close to slavery to me .

What’s happening in America right now is the result of cognitive dissonance in our collective unconscious. This is the blowback from trying to teach people about Americas history of racism, genocide, and xenophobia.

This whole thing isn’t about Trump and musk believing in Nazi ideology. It’s about them having an existing and easily accessed framework for seizing power. I don’t think for a second that they actually believe in the blood libel mythos, like Hitler did.

We have a president who said he would “be a dictator on day one”, who also said that you would never have to vote again if he wins, and his right hand man is throwing Nazi salutes at his inauguration. But liberals are overreacting.

I think the only thing more frightening than a Trump presidency which is a dismal failure, like his first term, is a presidency that is a wild success. A presidency where he achieves all of his goals.

It’s true that the Shepherd kills more sheep than the wolf. But the bankers and the politicians kill more than both.

The sad truth is, if Jesus arrived today and promised us kingdom come, with little ceremony, and without much ado, we would nail him to a cross. And if the devil joined us here and now, we would gladly give him the keys to the White House.

Oppression is intersectional. The fight against it must be too.

I’ve always had an aversion to small talk. But it turns out that small talk actually serves a very important purpose during the process of establishing connection. Small talk is the proving ground for trust. You give people people trivial bits of information and you see how they handle them.

The only reason why the red pill assholes aren’t lining up to support Neil Gaiman, the way that they typically do whenever any man of renown gets accused of sexual misconduct, is that he was a self proclaimed feminist.

Addicts. Homeless. Those who struggle with mental health. The people trapped in cycles of poverty. Even those who are disabled.

Until the motivation for progress is more powerful than greed, those with wealth and ambition will repeatedly drag us back into the dark ages.

Stop celebrating terrible people.

Whatever you do, don't let the evil that's inside of others kill the love that's inside of you.
