Dastangoi is an Urdu oral storytelling tradition which incorporates singing and recitation. Khafil Jafri is a young performer who is part of the dastangoi revival. I've attended 2 of his performances before, and tonight am watching his Dastan e Akhtari, on the life of ghazal singer Begum Akhtar.
