Oh of course. But in a strange way I guess. Berylla is able to get away with the kind of blunt semi-stupid honesty that is my entire inner voice. She's tall and strong, things I won't ever be, ha! Nightbird though, is much more of the wish fulfillment...a successful scholar and musician...

Berylla definitely doesn't care for being in the spotlight, fame has always been her least favorite aspect of being WoL Nightbird also stays out of the headlines - as WoL. But she's happy enough to be prominent and famous as Songstress of Ishgard!

Neither of my girls have a relationship with any specific place. For Nightbird - her clan was nomadic to begin with and had no "roots" that they spoke about. If there was a homeland she never learned about it. Berylla's got even less connection to family.

Nightbird straight up pointed at Estinien and said "That one." And I was very "????" Berylla fell hard for Haurche instantly, from the first kiss. Then kind of stumbled into the relationship with Aymeric. Alphinaud pursued her a good long while before she admitted to anything though.

Berylla definitely thought "just a place to crash." She appreciated it, a lot! But she didn't treat it with much emotional importance at first. Just after Stormblood, when she was so badly hurt by Zenos, THEN it became clear to her that Edmont had truly adopted her.

Nightbird is "I am a person" kind of cat, heh. She generally doesn't care what others say. However if you touch her ears you are putting yourself in harm's way!! Headcanon for me is, all Miqo ears are sensitive but for her it's an overstimulation. She's literally bitten Estinien about it.

Ah! Yes. Berylla (at that time, a totally different person) died on the field (actually before Louisoix did his thing). She got brought back in a new body later, with zero memories about Carteneau or anything else for a while. When her Echo awakened she got SOME memory back, but not all.
