I ran 110 miles in November, 58 outdoors including a half-marathon. Up to 1078 on the year. I don’t understand how I ran 1263 last year while essentially taking December off because of a broken toe.

Every time there’s a commercial with a peppy earworm of a song—usually it’s a prescription medicine, but this time it was Daisy Sour Cream—I ask my wife “Do you want this song on your phone?”

Caroline 2 is a 2025 favorite and they released a deluxe edition with demos (which Rough Trade put on a 12"). The final album is an exciting midpoint between the genesis of an idea and its warped final possibilities. The demos are pure clay: hummed vocals, rehearsal room noise, in-progress guitars.

There’s a dog trainer with three young dogs in the field by the dog park, and those pups are being incredibly well behaved, especially considering the half dozen dogs being total idiots inside the dog park.

I did the thing again (impromptu half marathon). I needed to run 8.1 miles outside to hit 500 for the year, and with colder weather coming up, today seemed like a potential last window. Then once I started going, I thought “What’s five more, really?” I also hit 1000 total for 2025.
