Wormlandia, 2018 This was my first big piece after I had kids and had been out of the studio for about a decade, working and raising them. My youngest was barely two and I worked on this from 9pm-2am for weeks, with many interruptions. It’s 4ft tall and sold opening night. Art always waits 🌈

I like to draw recklessly with only Ticonderogas on cheap paper and zero plan but this time I made a zine layout first AND THEN I drew recklessly within that layout. Loophole’d myself into a project. I had to order more paper but these will proliferate 🚀🚀🚀

what is it about miniature that is so pleasing? Am I a control freak(yes)? Foam clay creatures in tiny glass cloches, either big mad or big glad

“Reflections of the Living Light” 2021 Inspired by Hildegard von Bingen and her migraine visions. The rainbow is a visual representation of *barfing* I am a chronic migraine/POTs human and at the time I made this, I was constantly sick and in pain. I have great meds now but it’s taken decades 🫠
