I'm in the process of redoing my entire index on tumblr which is over 400 posts 😭😭and im getting super nostalgic just seeing Sade and Duke as kids again now look at them 🥹🥹

Whew this was very long update 😅 And probs not the best day to post with the shitshow that's happening with EA. BUT I still hope you liked this part! We only have 2 more parts left in this gen and I can't wait!!! 💙

“Thanks,” he said, voice low. “For taking care of things while I was away.” Victor’s expression shifted again, that familiar smirk pulling at his lips, easing the heaviness just enough to make it bearable. “We’re family,” he replied simply. “That’s what we do.” #ValGen3

A slow breath left him, heavier this time, weighed down by something he couldn’t fix with control or distance or power. He had failed her. X lifted his head slightly, his gaze shifting back to Victor, the sharpness returning—but quieter now, steadier. He gave a small nod. #ValGen3

Tartosa was far. Far enough for now. His mind went somewhere else suddenly. Sora. The image hit him without warning—her smile, her voice, the way she had looked at him before everything cracked open, before the truth, before the consequences of his life spilled into hers. #ValGen3

“We’re surveilling him,” he said. “Him and his mom moved to Tartosa.” That made X’s posture still. “We know where he is at all times.” The tension in X’s shoulders didn’t disappear—but it shifted, easing just enough to let him breathe a little deeper. #ValGen3

X’s head turned sharply at that, his eyes narrowing—not in anger at Victor, but at the implication itself, the line drawn in a place he refused to cross. “I don’t kill kids.” Victor reached out, his hand settling on X’s shoulder—solid, steady, familiar. #ValGen3

“I know you’re not okay with the fact that Mathias is still out there,” Victor said, his tone even, grounding. “But what did you want to do?” A beat. “Kill the kid?” #ValGen3

He exhaled sharply. “He might come back,” he continued, quieter now, more to himself than anything. “Or worse… join them.” Victor stood quickly, stepping into X’s space, not aggressively—but deliberately, like he wasn’t about to let him spiral off on his own. #ValGen3

“Selvadorada is probably making plans… or searching for a new leader.” His jaw clenched slightly. “And 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙖𝙨.” X pushed himself up from the couch abruptly, the movement restless, like sitting still for too long had started to suffocate him. #ValGen3

“Just because La Cosa Simstra doesn’t exist anymore in Ciudad doesn’t mean it won’t want vengeance for Judah’s death.” His voice grew steadier as he spoke, slipping into that familiar control, that calculated way of thinking that had made him who he was. #ValGen3

Kai let out a small, almost shy smile. “Law & Justice.” Stefan’s expression shifted instantly, something warm and proud lighting up his face. “That suits you,” he said without hesitation. Then, a little quieter, “I’m sorry I didn’t say it earlier, but… I’m proud of you.” #ValGen3

He pushed himself off the bar and stepped closer, closing the distance that had felt so impossible just moments ago. When he reached Kai, he stopped right in front of him, his hands finding their way to Kai’s sides. “You didn’t even tell me your major,” Stefan added. “I do want to know.” #ValGen3

Because he could see it—see the way Kai was holding on, not out of denial, but because he needed something good right now. Something that didn’t feel like it was slipping through his fingers. Stefan hesitated for a fraction of a second. Then he nodded. “Of course.” #ValGen3

“I know that we should talk about it, but… can we not?” He looked up at Stefan then, and there was something almost desperate in his eyes. “I just want to spend the rest of the school year happy with you.” The honesty in his voice made something in Stefan’s chest tighten. #ValGen3

He lifted his head again, turning fully toward Kai. “If going to university is what you want, I’ll never stop you. You know that.” His expression softened, something vulnerable flickering through his eyes. “In fact… I’m happy for you.” #ValGen3

Across from him, Stefan shifted, his grip on the bar tightening before he let his head fall back gently against the wood behind him with a soft 𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘬. “I forgave you after our stupid fight,” he said, his voice quieter now, a little tired around the edges. “We never fight.” #ValGen3

He paused, his throat tightening slightly as he searched for the right way to explain something that didn’t feel explainable. “These past weeks have been… rough. But it’s not an excuse.” Tears gathered in his eyes, despite how hard he tried to keep them in check. #ValGen3

Kai let out a slow breath. “I’m sorry, Stef.” The words came out heavier than he expected. “I should’ve told you about applying to uni. I should’ve been a better boyfriend—with your interview, everything.” #ValGen3

His voice barely carried past the space between them. Stefan nodded once, his expression soft but guarded in a way Kai had never seen before. “I’m glad you texted.” For a second, neither of them moved. #ValGen3

Stefan stood a few feet away, one hand gripping the vertical bar beside him, his fingers curling tightly around the metal like he needed something solid to hold onto. The distance between them wasn’t large, not physically—but it felt like miles. “Thanks for coming,” Kai said quietly. #ValGen3

Kai sat on one of the lower bars of the monkey bars, his hands loosely clasped between his knees, his posture slightly hunched like he was trying to make himself smaller. His gaze stayed low for a moment before finally lifting toward Stefan. #ValGen3

“Love you too,” she said warmly. “Thank you for telling me.” She pulled back slightly, a spark of her usual mischief returning to her eyes. “Now I can ask your dad to kill people we don’t like.” Sora snorted, the sound escaping before she could stop it. “Please don’t.” #ValGen3

“You’re such a bitch,” she said, shaking her head, the words lacking any real bite. But she moved closer anyway, wrapping her arms around Dakota and pulling her into a tight hug. “And I love you, Koda.” Dakota smiled instantly, hugging her back just as tightly. #ValGen3

“But this is literally Romeo and Juliette,” Dakota continued, shaking her head in disbelief, “but none of you died.” There was a pause. But then a laugh slipped out of Sora. Unexpected but real. The first real laugh that had come from her since everything had happened. #ValGen3

Sora blinked, her head snapping up in shock. Dakota immediately lifted her hands slightly. “I’m sorry—” she said quickly, still laughing under her breath. “It’s not funny—” Sora stared at her, completely thrown off. #ValGen3

When Sora finally finished, the last of her words fading into the air, the silence returned. But this time, it wasn’t heavy. Just… full. Dakota sat there for a moment, staring at her. And then— She 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘥. #ValGen3

Dakota didn’t interrupt, she just listened. Completely still, her usual energy quieted into something focused and intent, her eyes locked on Sora as if trying to piece together a version of reality she had never even considered. #ValGen3

She told her about her dad. About Simkuza. About La Cosa Simstra. About the rivalry that had existed long before she was even born. About Mathias—who he really was. The words felt surreal leaving her mouth, like she was recounting a story she had heard instead of something she had lived. #ValGen3

But she didn’t. So Sora told her everything. Not all at once, not in some perfectly structured explanation—but in pieces, in breaths, in moments where she had to stop and steady herself before continuing. #ValGen3

Sora let out a quiet breath, her shoulders dropping just slightly as the weight of that realization settled in. “Um…” she started, her voice softer now. “Okay. I wasn’t expecting that.” For a moment, she said nothing. #ValGen3

Sora stared at her. And slowly, something clicked into place. Her parents had sent Dakota here knowing exactly what she would ask. Knowing exactly what Sora had been avoiding saying out loud. It wasn’t pressure, it wasn’t force, it was… permission? #ValGen3

Sora’s confusion must have shown on her face because Dakota let out a small laugh, shaking her head. “Listen, that’s just what they told me,” she said, waving it off lightly. “You have to tell me the truth. The 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚 truth.” #ValGen3
