Here Abhishek Saha and I note how the OfS have rejected the Waltham-Smith/Murray interpretation of ECHR Article 10, and look at the far-reaching changes the guidance will bring, in terms of politicised appointments, EDI, reputational clauses, etc.

Wonder whether, when Labour MPs who voted for the Assisted Dying Bill today come to vote on disability benefit cuts in a few weeks, many will make any connection between the two or reflect more broadly on the social & economic context they are helping to shape in which such decisions will be made

The new OfS guidance is inspirational, and I know FoS/AF campaigners around the world will be inspired by it. It should go some real way to restoring the reputation of HE in the UK for genuine intellectual inquiry, rather than preaching orthodoxies.

Recording here of a great event on the Supreme Court judgment. For those who are concerned it's complicated - have a listen! It really isn't. As made clear by the four excellent speakers:

Agree. We have to build on gains and play the long game to increase open science practices in sociology. I sense a lot of interest in doing so.
