Me and Cherish have been writing games for 15 years, but Tabitha has easily been our most complex challenge! Rather than sticking to the noun/verb/adjective structure of Mad Libs, we wanted players to have way more freedom to tell their own stories - without it degrading into total nonsense.

We're so happy to announce that A Storied Life: Tabitha will be appearing in #CozyQuest2025 hosted by @wearesecretmode.com! This lovely cosy gaming event runs from 17th-20th November on Steam, with the opening showcase taking place on 17th November at 6pm GMT on YouTube and Steam.

Well the Steam Machine pitch is tailor made for me. I spent the entirely of the late 2010s+ listening to podcasts telling me it’s simple to get into PC games and, friends, it ain’t - you’re in too deep. I dropped PCs 20 years ago because I got fed up with that ecosystem of drivers and pain.

I fucken love adding little details of polish to games. It gives me so much purpose. When making the original prototype of Tabitha a year ago the mechanics of the game were very clear to the team - but after I applied the little bits of polish and vibes they REALLY got it. In my element 😚

I cannot believe this game is so cheap. If you have a PSP you should own this because it advances on the formula so well and you should play it. And also because it feels more like Ghouls ‘n Ghosts and less like Super because that game isn’t great. I’m sorry but it’s true!

Well the new Double Dragon game sure feels like it’s an early Xbox 360 game :( DD is one of my fave franchises, I own all of them, some of them are amazing, but this is a lot closer to Wander of the Dragons than Neon, Gaiden or Advance - all very different but really good!

My 16yo is playing Sonic Racing Crossworlds as their fave, Rouge, and after a while of doing the actions that lead to the character making a lot of, err, spirited reactions they said to me “they know what they’re doing”

Random game Saturday! OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast for the PSP, by @sega.jp and @sumodigital.bsky.social! I was obsessed with Sumo’s port of OR2 for Xbox, and a version on the go on the PSP was a total dream come true. A true classic - and so much to do!

I’m hearing that they are in fact bad; garbo, if you will. I liked the first remakes so I’m still looking forward to them. I have the original games to still play so they don’t have to be a replacement.

It’s my child’s birthday soon. We’ve always left out their presents for them to find in the morning, but we didn’t consider last year that they’d become much more independent and wouldn’t just wake us up immediately to witness it. They unwrapped it all alone and just went on to playing video games.

I grew up on the Amiga version of Flashback and was completely obsessed with it. Amiga owners were used to other platforms being a bit crap, tbh, so I was amazed to play the MD version using Genecyst back in the day and find out it was equally amazing, especially the music!
