A bit of a mixed bag on the immigration white paper. Great that the Govt want to expand the Global Talent Visa (a CaSE ask!) but there's nothing on bringing down huge upfront costs.

It's positive that R&D investment from DSIT is going up, particularly in a challenging fiscal climate, but there will be some difficult decisions ahead with UKRI getting a broadly flat settlement. We continue to press for ambitious R&D investment in June's Spending Review.
