This was a very upsetting episode. My daughter’s first #vwfc match was at Swangard. She was 10 months old. Now she’s 18 and starting university soccer for @trentuniversity.bsky.social in the fall—in large part because of the impact of the Whitecaps on our lives. 1/4

According to this article, the roof at BC Place will be closed for all matches during the tournament as a part of the quality control for the pitch.

In BCPL action, TSS Rovers stay unbeaten with a 3-1 win at Altitude FC. Elliott Riches tied it up for Altitude in the 47th before Daniel Motalebian made it three goals in three games to restore TSS' lead in the 76th. Matteo Schiavoni clinched the three points a minute from time.

Today also sees the start of TSS Rovers partnership agreement with Pacific FC. Two Pacific players starting for TSS this afternoon - former CF Montreal and Forge player Matteo Schiavoni and 18 year old Mattias Vales.

Half time at Kinsmen Field and TSS Rovers lead Altitude FC 1-0 in BCPL action. Derek Ebel with his first Rovers goal in the 38th minute. TSS been better team but been a couple of big saves from Cal Weir to deny Altitude.

Tough afternoon for former Whitecap Thomas Hasal. Gets first MLS start of the year against Portland, gets clattered by his own defender, subbed off with possibly a busted nose in first half. Huge 10 minute delay to get it all sorted.

So an update on this. Mousset played. Scored Langley's second in a 5-0 victory. Immediately subbed off with a possible injury. Was holding hamstring and limping. Hopefully for VFC this was just precautionary and/or some tightness.

As much of a disgrace as this is, just checked the FIFA ticketing platform and all the group games at BC Place currently have Category 1 "front row" tickets available for nearly a grand each if you really, really want to be there and don't want to wait to see if prices come down.
