Wow that new Ghost in the Shell is exactly what I'd hoped it would be. Also that guest artist's key art at the end of the ep was incredible. (not gonna spoil who it is, just go find it).

I finished The Adventures of Elliot last night and I have to wonder if the folks who gave it low reviews went through the effort to get the true ending. I left off feeling really satisfied with my 22 hours, and each escalation in the story between the bad, good, and true endings felt great to unlock

I'm not even sure what I can add to the chorus right now, but it sure does feel like this hobby is well and truly cooked on all fronts.

Tidus and Zanarkand are coming to Dissidia Duellum on the 30th of June. I had thought maybe they'd bring Yuna into the game first, but Tidus looks really fun to play. Honestly this game continues to be a really good time and I've been playing a few rounds every day since it released.

Finished the classic DK challenges. They were pretty easy and I find this approach to “achievements” to be pretty cute (minus the time limited aspect of it). I’ll tackle the Bananza ones a bit later, but I hope they do more of these.

I finally took the time to watch The Boy and the Heron. When it came out originally, my own son had just been born, and it just sort of escaped me. It's an incredibly moving and thoughtful film. I really didn't know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't something this lavish and deliberately paced

Vanillaware on PC is crazy to me. Let's get Dragon's Crown Pro on there asap. FF Resonance looks dope. I'm generally pretty happy with that direct, but boy the predictions vs. reality have got some folks on tilt.

First Light is really top tier. I’m having such a great time in the actual game and the in between stuff feels just as good as any modern Bond film. Lenny James is SO good as Greenway.

Persona 6 leaks? Hmmmm I want to believe. I do like both designs and this close to Sony’s event seems about the right timing for something like this. Let’s see…

Very pleased with how the updated DQ12 looks. I wasn't attached to the old logo/title, so let's goooo! DQ5 themed DQMonsters is neat, but had assumed we were going to see at least one additional remake announced.

While I wasn’t a longtime fan, I did get a chance to see him play at a small theater in Saitama a few years back and it was a great experience. What a loss.

I'm really happy with new FFXIV announcements. I largely dropped off after 7.1 as is normal tradition with the patches, but with the roadmap of announcements, I'm starting to feel the itch to slowly start catching up. As a DRG main, I felt very good about the demos they showed of the new systems.

Another solid character release for Dissidia. Firion is really well designed and I actually appreciate his street look more than his traditional one. I think Rikku and Clive are next up based on the roadmap, but I'm quite curious when we'll start seeing the "Chaos" folks show up.

Those Pragmata scores, especially for a game that was long MIA and thought to be hanging out in the dumpster with Deep Down, have got me very excited to try it out. Seems like it doesn't overstay it's welcome either. You love to see it.

Sometimes choice paralysis has you so frozen you just go play Final Fantasy V instead of engaging with anything else because that's easier.

The rumor of a new Starfox game has got me checking out the Starfox campaign in Starlink. It’s really well done actually… despite being a Ubisoft game from that era there’s a ton of Starfox dialogue and cutscenes. This might just tide me over.

Biggest surprise for me this year is how fun Dissida Duellum is. It’s not perfect, and really needs a landscape mode and a PC client, but this could have been an absolutely killer “premium” game. Art and OST are well done too. Sad to think this will get killed off like the rest of SE’s mobile fare.

I have to say, I was ready to dump all over the new Dissidia, but as a low impact kind of thing, I enjoyed the few battles I played. Can definitely see me playing a few rounds on the bus. Honestly I think it's the least abrasive gatcha game SE has put out, esp compared to Ever Crisis.

I really want to be further along in Pokopia, but I just keep. playing. Marathon.

Practice and quali were both really fun to watch, and I hope we’re in for a really weird F1 season. The new cars are pretty fun to watch imo despite some of the complaints I had heard from the drivers.

Other than the original games and thinking the art design looked neat, the new Marathon had not occupied any space in my brain. Jumped in as my first extraction shooter and it sure is overwhelming in and out of the gameplay, but it’s a great time.

Pokopia has a strong grip, man. The loop is so good early on and I have so many ideas. I think I’ll push through the story bits before I start trying to really go nuts building stuff out. It seems a lot of mechanics are gated by story progression.

Was able to hit up the Ghost in the Shell art exhibition in Toranomon Hills today. What a treat it was. I went to a much smaller show about 10 years, so it was really nice to see how big, and frankly, stylish this one turned out to be. They even had materials from the upcoming new show!

While I understand the complaints about cut content, the new DQ really is a lovely, and breezy, adventure so far (~8 hours in). It’s been ages since I played either PS1 or DS releases but my memory is that they were tedious in spite of their greatness. I am sad to lose the vocation costumes though.

Went to this year’s Linda Cube Pop-up. Prices were much higher than last time, disappointingly so given how cool some of it was, but I walked out with some fun stuff.

I'm enjoying all the posts/memories of PSO's 25th anniversary. It's a game that really resonated with me as one of my first experiences with online games. I don't think the sequels and spin-offs ever came close to matching that experience unfortunately. I also think Episode 3 is incredible.

100% this is the thing I was most excited by in the show.
