Small farms are exempt from OSHA and big farms hire people as contractors to avoid OSHA oversight. Plus, farmworkers are often undocumented or on a work visa, so afraid to report violations and in rural areas they have a hard time accessing health care. The US farm system is broken and needs fixing.

With the EU/US trade deal moving forward including agreements on pork - are issues related to the carcinogen carbadox, growth promoter ractopamine, and routine use of antibiotics for disease prevention going to be ignored. If not what king of market for US pork in the EU is there.
