Just got out of #MortalKombat and it was pure cinema! It was played straight and continued the story of the first one. Major props to the cinematography and SFX guys, they knocked it out of the park. There will always be a certain amount of camp to Kung fu movies, but it was very well done. 8.5/10

Finally saw the end of #Scream7 and...yes it was a traditional 90s style slasher movie. I guess it was fine. The beer death was awesome. Everything after that part was very run of the mill. 6.5/10. I think the horror/killer genre has now evolved and Scream-bless it-is no longer relevant.

Every time I go on vacation, im reminded that im still on #Pokémon Go and then I get sad that I've been neglecting the game. Then im doing my daily diligence for maybe 3 weeks and I lapse again.

Just bought, played, amd finished #Exit8 on PS5 in about 10 minutes. I dont know how much is randomized but the exact same anomaly happened each time. This was literally the easiest game I have ever played in my life.

When i saw #Midsommar, I recognized its greatness and determined that was not a movie I wanted to ever see again. Yes its good. Yes Horror fans should see it. But I personally am not someone who can stand the level of extreme body horror like that. That is the same feeling I have for the Mummy.

Man. I knew #TheMummy wasnt going to be a swashbuckling action movie with comedy. I knew it was Blumhouse and James Wan. I knew it was gonna be closer to #TheExorcist than Indiana Jones. But man. It was TOUGH to watch. Idk who Lee Cronin was but what a fucking debut. 9/10. Its so fucked.

#SidKroft was before my time to be sure, but Land of the Lost, Donny & Marie, and The Banana Splits were shows that formed the foundation to the shows that I watched as a kid. We stand on the shoulders of giants, and he was a giant in kids tv. Rest in Peace.

#Normal I give an 8.5/10. It knows what it is, it fulfills its role with full tongue-in-cheek, and is just a roaring, gory, violent old fashioned American movie. Highly recommend if you like movies like Pulp Fiction, Bad Boys, and any of the Jason Statham style movies.

The #Cinemark mystery movie was "Normal" starring Bob Odenkirk. If Nobody and Nobody 2 was his attempt at serious action, this outing is the "Thor Ragnarok". A much more perfect mix of action and humor. I love the absurdity of the concept, the entire supporting cast was fantastic.

I completely forgot today is another #Cinemark #MysteryMovie day, but my phone reminded me. Im not a fan of watching movies 2 days in a row, but the novelty of seeing a movie i know nothing about cant be matched by anything. I didnt have popcorn last night (just a cheeseburger), so its fine.

From a technical standpoint it was all well-acted and I very much enjoyed the cinematography and flashback scenes. There was very limited music; the scenes were served more with loud sound effects. I give this 7/10 and a decent stepping stone for Robert Pattinson and Zendaya.

Finally went to see #TheDrama because I just couldn't figure out what the plot point is. A24 kind of billed this as a rom-com but it was really more of a drama. I must be a little psychopathic because I didnt think to make a big deal as Pattinsons character. And his overreaction was the whole film

Excited to go to the Houston #FoodieFestival today! Supposed to be the largest in the country which is great but I also know how this city turns out for these things. Its gonna be PACKED! and there's a threat of rain through the whole day! Ugh.

This movie and the upcoming #TheBackrooms along with, in my opinion #Skinnamarink and #FiveNights at Freddys (to a lesser extent) are bringing up the mystery and dread of very generic, open spaces. The absurd beigeness of sterile, corporate design to be as inoffensive as possible.

Kind of excited to watch #Exit8 tonight! I hope this new genre of "Liminal horror" stays a while. I remember seeing a stream for the game. I watched it for a few minutes but the concept of a never-ending subway hallway was too enticing so I stopped watching for spoilers. I definitely want to play

Lmfao Jesus. Okay. Its a little more propaganda than I like, but so was Transformers and Independence Day. I have a soft spot for Military action vs. Aliens. Its one of the few times I get patriotic about our armed services. I would hope they figure something out against hostile aliens!! 7/10

Staying inside today to watch #WarMachine on #Netflix and I must say, that alien ship thing looks a LOT like a #Battletech mech. ...which tracks actually. They are walking death machines in the game also. I look forward to finishing this.

I've decided to play #Stray next. Being a cat sounds like a good break from the extreme violence of GoW.

With that, I have finished my current gaming backlog. Going from Expedition 33, Blue Prince, and God Of War. Just some fantastic, fantastic gaming experiences each. I think its worth it to play ALL the nominees for GOTY at this point. I need to take a break, emotionally.

Finished playing #GodofWar #Ragnarok just now. I thought the ending was great, then I mucked around post-game and found the "True" ending with the full credits and my heart broke. How magnificent. This was a clear Game of the Year winner if not for the other masterpiece Elden Ring. What tough comp!

Huh. Just had an interesting conversation. If Captain Ginyu from DragonBall Z was able to swap bodies, what was his "original" body, and how did he learn that technique? The purple guy we know him as was only one of several over his lifetime (how old is he?). Would be an interesting exploration.

He did a great job at playing the main character, and the script had all the appropriate budy comedy that was in the book. Rocky was exactly how I pictured him! Probably the best space movie of 2026. 9.5/10
