Pinehurst has announced the start of No. 11, an original Coore & Crenshaw design next to Tom Doak's No. 10 at what is becoming the Pinehurst Sandmines complex. - Fall 2027 open - Coore & Crenshaw restored No. 2 - Looks like a very different sight than No. 10, which is open with big views.

The PGA of America will play U.S. Ryder Cup players $200K (extra $300K to charity). Tickets are $750. PGA is making $$$. This is probably the right thing. But $200K changes nothing for these guys and just becomes a dumb talking point all week.

Saddened to hear the news of Bob Holt’s passing. There are a million Bob stories, traded like baseball cards among SEC people. The time he did this. The time he said that to that coach. The through line on all of them was a decency, curiosity and spirit that we should all aspire for. He was a gem.
