Another great assembly meeting in the books! Thank you to all who attended on Saturday. It was so great seeing some new faces and some familiar ones! Very excited to network and continue working toward building community.

Community helps us, community saves us. Looking out for your neighbors is one of the most rewarding and dependable things you can do. It also lets people sleep better, eat better, live better.

We stand unflinchingly with our communities and in defense of those targeted by the kidnappers and their raids. No one is illegal, especially on stolen land. Take care of each other however you are able. We are in this together and can only depend on each other.

Watch out for your street vendors. They are very visible members of our communities and they deserve protection, too!

BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.” They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

Long Beach Assembly firmly stands in solidarity with those defending our community against government violence being perpetuated against our people. No human is illegal.

Everyone deserves good food, no matter their income. The idea that we have to "earn" something necessary for survival is disgusting. Let's come together and share food, plant gardens and build community stronger than this antiquated and capitalist notion.

Take issue with people who talk about the unhoused "encroaching" on community land. The unhoused are members of your community and are never a burden. Your organizing should include them.
