I was actually pleasantly surprised by Summer Game Fest this year. There were a few titles in there that piqued my interest. A chunk of why I'm so into retro/indie is how disenfranchised I was with how bland and "safe" a lot of AAA had become, but there's actually some cool concepts this year.

One of my strongest opinions is that numerical review scores for entertainment media is really stupid. It's essentially trying to add a sense of objectivity to a something subjective, and ultimately leads to people arguing the toss over the number instead of discussing the actual review.

Artist, if someone compliments your art by putting down another artist, kindly ask them not to do that. It's not only rude, but it's also very demeaning. Stick up for your fellow artists. (and of course there's a nuances, but just don't talk shit about other artists just to compliment us ok)
