October is Latin American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the cultures, languages, and traditions that enrich our communities. Canadians of Latin American descent have helped shape Canada in many ways. Let’s honour their contributions and the positive impact their heritage has on our society.

Great news! More than 5 million Canadians are now covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan, giving them access to the dental care they need. Here in Kitchener-Conestoga, over 18,000 approved applicants are benefiting from this plan — saving an average of $800 per year on dental expenses.

To our Chinese-Canadian community here in our region and all those taking part in the festivities, I wish you peace, good health, and strong spirit as you celebrate with family and friends.

It was an honour to witness His Majesty King Charles III deliver the Speech from the Throne today.   The speech outlined our government’s plan to bring down costs and remove trade barriers, cut taxes, and building a stronger economy for all Canadians, including families here in Kitchener-Conestoga.
